*A standard CD has a life span of 2-5 years. CDs have layers where all your photos or data are stored.

These layers have dyes that are susceptible to deterioration when exposed to atmospheric pollutants or sun light.

A Gold CD has layers that are lined with gold which is a stable metal thus resistant to these pollutants, up to 300 years.
